Response from Caught Cheater - Worth Reading

gxtmf1, is it really my fault I have these individuals following me around because they feel inadequate and want to try and sling mud at me?  Is it my fault they keep grasping at straws in the vain hope of actually getting the better of me?

Have a look back at Rainbows first post in this thread....have a look at the contribution that ilikeflags has made...and I am also pretty sure this is the first post mkirk has made in this thread....I don't think you will find a post that is on or even near the topic.

Now go back and see what I have done in this thread, now you mightn't agree or like what I have said or how I have done it, but I contributed to the conversation and the topic/s at hand.  Bringing back one of the topics that was discussed within this thread, am I suppose to tolerate these unprovoked attacks and not respond?  Especially when it is someone like Rainbow, who is like shooting fish in a barrel...lol

Lions don't need to roar.

Only "insecure" people do.

Thanks for the thread, Erik. And more power to Chess.com... and its lions.

Why do they then?

Am... first of all I would like us to forgive him.... he seems to be sorry and we should allow him to create another profile agin on chess.com!! but we shoild ask him how he did cheat so we can stop people doing the same trick

SteelWheels

While we're talking about cheating here a few minutes ago, I checked my game list - and lo and behold... one of my opponents VeryStrong got banned for cheating! Poor fellow.

Can't people be given a second chance? If they are genuinely and sincerely sorry... it's obvious they wouldn't do it again, and have learned their lesson.

Sadly, most people who cheat and say sorry, who are given a second chance, abuse the system again. At least this person (who wrote the letter) has some dignity left, because it's those people who, when given a second chance, they do the same wrong thing again, it makes me sick.

'Suggo' said that no credit can be given to this person because he cheated in the first place. I believe that is 110% true, but, if indeed he is sorry to the staff and those that he cheated, he still has some respect left.

Now, that's funny!  Thanks for the laugh.

...I was once told that we could all be tolerably tolerate, - tolerable people to make tolerance for tolerant people to find toleration, - tolerantly ...

TheOldReb

Tolerance is overrated ! There are some things that simply should NOT be tolerated.  nuff said

So what should we call over intolerance? The point at which tolerating becomes ridiculous. hmmm....There has to be a good single word for it. Everybody grab your thesaurus'.

Seriously, I don't know how I'd get through the days without some silliness here. Gotta love it. So many personalities and so much entertainment.

When I say tolerance.. I mean not writing someone off because of a failing they may have had... especially when they are a friend or family member... and you know they are sincerely remorseful...

Some people seem to be, well he screwed up, so off with his head. If that person is sincerely remorseful for what he or she did.... I like to give them a second chance...

I think you may be confusing tolerance with forgiveness.  If he is forgiven, a relapse should still not be tolerated.

Kupov

Most people in this thread are confusing the word 'tolerance' with the word 'acceptance'.

goldendog

Also, take note you bleeding hearts that you can only forgive him for what he has done to you. You don't have standing to forgive him for virtually the whole of his offence which was to the site, the people he cheated, etc..

The long and winding road,

that leads to your door,

will never disappear,

I've seen that road before...

[ the road: cheat > pitied / forgiven > banned ]

Hmmm,I thought it would be cheat>banned>pitied/forgiven

But I don't really know, I am still waiting to find why lions do actually roar if they don't have to?

rooperi
