Rude behavior in chat

I got accused of being rude and got reported for telling a forum troll that their repeated posts about racism were ridiculous, as seen by the amount of times they’re threads have been closed. Some new account took offense even though I wasn’t talking to them, and then told me I was harassing people because I told someone they had extraordinary patience. I don’t know what is going on in this community. Some people are just looking for trouble.
Somebody I know calls these idiots Keyboard Warriors because they're rude whilst at their keyboard with no consequences but face to face it would be a different matter. You wouldn't get this OTB at clubs, tournaments etc. I think they do it because they are rubbish at chess and try to put you off (obviously worried). Do as I do and think I'm going to kick their behind with good chess. I did it yesterday and they actually responded after saying all sorts of nasty things "now don't I look stupid" after I beat them :-)
It seemed to do nothing with chess. It’s a pretty new account and the person seems to have a strong disliking of me for no reason. Though I did not even start conversing with them, they were quick to take offense at innocent posts on two occasions. I’m quite baffled and wonder if this person had an account here previously.

either way even assuming block and report doesnt exist why do u care so much about rando comments
its just a random person insulting you, it could just be the fact im emotionally insensitive but even if he has anger problems, it doesnt mean you let it transfer to you? most of the time when players are toxic the best approach is ignore or troll, angry players are often stupid and easy to troll
I care so much because it correlates with my reputation. I don’t want to have slandered reputation based on false information about me, such as that I am “rude”, “troublemaking”, or “harassing”. I care about my reputation, so I take necessary steps to correct any incorrect ideas about me. People’s opinions of others are often affected by people they associate with. I address any personal attacks on myself, especially when it is in public and dishonest.
I won’t report because I don’t find it worthy of reporting; they didn’t say anything extremely disrespectful, I just find it my duty to address any accusations.

I wasn't responding directly to you, if I had been I would have used the quote function.
Of course, maybe you weren't responding directly to me, I just assumed that you were. 
I am curious though, if you aren't reporting, how are you addressing accusations? Are you engaging with the offender? That's where my suggestion of ignoring them comes in to play.

Can’t se the point of bumping an eight year old thread , unless the person who’s doing the bumping, is looking for some attention .
It's pretty rare when I get anyone less than cordial. There have been a few times where I voted 'not a good sport' and did block one or two guys. I had one guy getting into all kinds political conspiracies about my country, and another guy started calling me names because he was losing. Called me a fat American, a cheater, and some other weird insults that didn't make sense. If you remember the whole Kim Jong Un calling Trump a 'dotard'. It was kind of like that. Insulted me with obscure words that didn't make sense. Just weird and a bit comical.
People who get offended by things that have nothing to do with them, or that they don’t even understand! My, kids on the internet.
