rg - maybe woman are more on the serious side of life - and for them it can be a little bit overestimated to spend so much time into a game. and yes - that can be because they are closer somehow to creation.
My main point was that this subject has been argued to death recently in these forums. I find it hard to escape the conclusion that it is periodically brought up in order to cause argument and resentment. Some people have strange notions of entertainment.
On the subject of reproductivity, I find the constant raising of the fact that women are the gender which gives birth physically to be tiresome and irrelevant. It is simply the workings of nature. This is not to ignore the fact that it can be painful, difficult and even dangerous.

He/she is either a troll or just genuinely stupid--ignore them, it's not worth getting worked up over. A person is good or bad at chess based on practice, study, and skill, not gender.

Chess imho is probably the PUREST form of competition that there is for reasons I have already stated. Thanks Flatters1,maybe we can get a game some time. I do think that way and I agree with some of the other comments said here as well,I think men and women do think differently and as Ms. Annabella1 said, the world would be boring if men and women thought the same or if any two people thought exactly alike,I mean that's what makes us all individuals right and adds some "color" to the world so to speak.
Even still though,women may not think the same intellectually as men but to me that has no bearing on anything. You can be from Harvard and have 3 or 4 masters degrees in various areas of study but you can still be a terrible Chess player. I don't know why people think that it's for smart people,you can be smart all you want,but if you don't understand certain things pertaining to Chess like e4 is the BEST opening move for white because it occupies the center,and releases two pieces (Queen and King's Bishop,respectively) at once,if you don't understand that and many other things,you'll be horrible at chess.
In order to be good at chess,you need to have a very strong memory,concentration/focus/attention and a good imagination,Chess is art,I really didn't understand that till recently. You're "painting" your masterpiece with each and every move that you play and if you make a blunder then so be it,that's why it's an "art",you need to work at it in order to be good!
Anyway,like I said the Polgar sisters,are a good example of just how good women can be at chess. I think it's more along the lines of women don't care about Chess as much as us men do,so they don't put in the time etc that we do and then get labeled with the stereotype that they aren't any good.
Someone told me one time that Chess is what you make of it,meaning,what you put in is what you'll get out.

In chess.com's game explorer 1 d4 both has a (very slightly) higher win rate and a lower loss rate for white. But 1 Nf3 and 1 c4 actually score even better for white than that (1 g3 does too 
). Statistics are strange.
Last I heard Judit Polgar was number 52 in the world, and aggravating old farts like Victor Korchnoi who insist woemen can't or shouldn't play chess.
