If chess.com is so hush of RELIGION then they CERTAINLY SHOULD HAVE SOME FEELINGS for those repressed regarding unfair absurd racism IN THE SLIGHTEST FORM .

That thread probably got locked because some angry little people were bickering and it got tiresome.

And the broke the ToS how?

Actually there's 10x more bickering in many other threads that don't get locked

I would imagine in this case because the bickering was about a sensitive topic.

It would be nice if some of the threads that involve 10 year olds bickering about random nonsense were removed, but alas that doesn't happen.

I meant to tell you in the now-locked thread that I've been finding your comments reasonable and well considered.

Why thank you. Someone has to be rational around here ☺️

The OP of that thread had made their point, the thread then descended into anarchy. It just seems common sense to stop a thread at that point.

But that wasn't the reason given.

What's that?

This thread has nothing to do with racism or anyone's perception of chess.com's handling of racism (they actually do a decent job in that regard considering the magnitude of this site).

No kidding, your link though does, now, don’t it.

Moderation is good, but it can get absurd. I was muted once for making a marriage joke, which someone interpreted as me hating women.....really?

Yes, @batgirl, it is absurd. Not only racists are tolerated in this site, NAZI accounts and clubs too.

I had reported and I had asked people to report two NAZI clubs here in chess.com that you can see in this list, they are the ones with swasticas:

https://www.chess.com/clubs/search?club_search%5Bphrase%5D=Socialist

Chess.com did not take any measure about it and the clubs remain free.

I know that in USA it is allowed to express any opinion and that there even exist a NAZI party!!

But in Brazil the law forbid the existance of such organizations, and the NAZI public propaganda is a crime!!

As chess.com has many Brazilians users it should respect that norm or at least take an action about @forajudeu, the owner of the Brazilian NAZI club, which nickname means "jude out"!!

Never again! No pasarán!

Those Nazi clubs are absolutely revolting. Likewise the Communist clubs.

And it was locked. This isn't a lock-avoidance thread.

It's the absurdity that we want to either tame or avoid.

Amen to the concluding sentence.

Why do you think that poor individual that made that thread did to begin with? Simply because the unfair disrespect from what their opponent dropped towards their race.

Had that opponent been properly handled the OP would not had need to express their upsetting disgust with chess.com’s choices.

What's what? Do you want me to quote the comments? It'd probably make this thread to be locked as well. Plus I've already mentioned some of them in my first post

What is about exactly then ? I'm genuinely confused now

What is the "racially objectionable clause?"

This thread is about understanding the reason the other thread was closed since the one proffered is obviously imaginary.

Discussing racism isn't racism and isn't objectionable.

I find it absolutely sad that the poor individual had to create it because their obvious frustration towards chess.com’s lack of empathy, or concern.

I still say it was the posts implying racism doesn’t exist. It may seem a stretch to say that is racist, but I don’t think it’s all that much of a stretch.

There's a line between discussing racism and outright bringing to the forefront ideas already left behind or outright absurd, like the genetics one. All was missing was an advocate for phrenology in the mix
