NOTHING TO DO WHATSOEVER WITH ANYTHING CHESS.COM DOES OR DOESN'T DO.
I might believe that if I did not see how smooth lichess works

And so much of what you say makes no sense, like "As for optimization/minimization/maximization... They dont have to change the latency limit, they can add servers making each of them more responsible"
wtf?

Just another discussion, pretty civilized, I must admit
It's not uninteresting but I'm not used to having to repeat myself so much.
Why all this angst and anxiety? Are these just observations from a few users?
Are you perhaps an employee or admin of chess.com? If so, I understand your intense activity on this topic.
No need to pray or cuss, we just stand on different sides ![]()
All I am talking about is the technical possibility.
@thedelcai experiences no disconnections on chess.com so the it is ok for this user
I experienced much disconnections on chess.com so I faced an issue
@thedelcai stands with the company: the product is ok
I stand against company: the product is not ok
Technically it is possible to fix the issue from both sides:
- the company's side: I know it is possible since I have no issue playing on lichess
- my side: by upgrading my Internet hardware/software
There are no technical reasons to limit the above list with just "my side" and put 100% of responsibility on a user and 0% of responsibility on the company whose technical requirements are enormously high for such a simple game like chess

LOL. I did no such thing. I said that while changes to their software could compensate somewhat, there are limits, that it canmot compensate for a non-existent connection or lag beyond a certain point. As far as responsibilty, chess.com is not responsible for your crappy internet. Again, if your experience with the site includes lag and dusconnects, and you can't or won't improve things on your side, you're wasting your time waiting for chess.com to downgrade their site to accomodate you. Test your ping. If it's over 100ms, either use a longer time control or truck on over to Lichess.

Right, clearly, you stand against chess.com and think you know better than they do how their site should be run. Good for you. Groovy. I disagree. Maybe it's that you the see the glass as half empty and I see it as half full. I appreciate what they offer here, even these forums. Either way, if I'm to stand against them I'll need some evidence they're doing something wrong. Refusing to downgrade their software to accomodate client side internet problems doesn't count.
Nah, I am not waiting chess.com to do something
My Internet is pretty ok for playing such a simple game like chess online
There are well-optimized solutions like lichess and not-so-well-optimized solutions like chess.com
It is normal and does not make me sleep bad or break things

Nah, I dont.
And please, dont put me in some "Chess.com Haters" club
I have been using it for free since 2015 or 2016 (I dont remember exactly) and its cool

Perfect.
And it's fine with me if you're just here to use their forums and complain.
Noted.
I used Lichess before I used chess.com, except for a few games as a guest, for about two months - I like their story ... and I tried to like their platform. It never happened. It's not terrible considering it's non-profit. It just pales in comparison to chess.com, my honest opinion.
It's what I honestly think, MrChatty.
You might not believe but I respect your opinion
"Based on online forum discussions and reviews, here's a summary of common complaints about Lichess:
1 - Apparent connection issues or lag: Some users experience delays in moves, stopped clocks, and game losses due to what appears to be connection issues, even with stable internet, according to a Lichess.org forum.
2 - Cheating and lack of effective reporting/banning system: Many users express frustration about encountering cheaters and lack of action taken by Lichess after reporting them. This lack of responsiveness and transparency regarding cheating reports can be disheartening for users who invest time and effort in fair play.
3 - Toxic community and poor sportsmanship: Many users describe the Lichess community as "garbage" and toxic, citing instances of wasting time, insulting messages, and poor sportsmanship. While some suggest these negative interactions are a minority, others feel that the overall tone of the community is becoming increasingly negative.
4 - App usability and mobile experience: Some users find the Lichess app to be less user-friendly and aesthetically appealing compared to other platforms, particularly on mobile devices. Specific complaints include a clunky board editor and a lack of features available on the website, according to MiniReview.
5 - Rating system and accuracy: Many users find Lichess's implementation of the Glicko-2 rating system to be inaccurate. Even after thousands of games the rating system still shows a instability and high uncertainty.
6 - Lack of premium features or paid content: Some users miss the structured learning resources and premium content available on other platforms, such as Chess.com, which they believe offer higher quality and better organization for educational purposes.
7 - Aesthetics and design: While many appreciate Lichess's clean and minimalist design, others find its aesthetics to be less appealing compared to the more polished and customizable interfaces offered by competing platforms."
