slow movement of pieces

I'm new to the site.  I'm having lots of trouble playing blitz because it takes so long for the moves to register.  I count at least four seconds for the piece to move on the board after i make the move.  I have to move almost instantly to keep up with my opponent time wise.  I realize five minutes doesn't give you much time to think, but it seems that i simply can't move fast enough in the end game to actually finish the game, even tho i am up plenty of material.  My opponents don't seem to have the same trouble.  I've played on ICC and the Fritz site and this time problem doesn't occur.  I have lost on time, but it's my fault, but it's awful to be up two or three pieces with thirty seconds left and not be able to move fast enough to win the game.  That's what's happening on this site.  Anybody have the same problem?

Live chess currently has some kind of clock malfunction. You're not the only one complaining about live chess.

thx for update chessbeginner.  didn't know about the clock problem.  if i play 10 minute instead of five the time isn't as crucial, but still.... it's something they should fix.
