Dear chess community,
We are a group of researchers from the universities of Cambridge and Sheffield, and are currently recruiting chess players to participate in a study. We are investigating how people make better decisions together through collaboration, discussion, and deliberation. This is a paid study for players rated 1000-1400. Looking to run the first campaign aprox end of June.
Short description:
1. You are going to be presented 3 chess puzzles, with 5 possible moves each. You will have to chose which move gives you the most advantage.
2. After you solve the 3 puzzles, you will join a group chat, where you and 2-4 other participants will discuss what is the best solution to each puzzle, presenting arguments, and trying to collaborate together to find the best solution. You will not be playing or be scored against the other participants, the spirit of the study is to work together.
3. You will be able to revise your solution
