Puzzle only showing low rated puzzles 1200-1900. No longer seeing 2k+

Currently rated 3k+ on puzzles. Usually I'd be 2400-2500 but the lasts few days the only puzzles it shows me are very easy 1700 average puzzles. I only get 5 points but I can do 30 without missing. I thought if I would get a higher rating the puzzles would go back to being in the 2400+ range but nope, even at 3k rating I'm getting 1700 rated puzzles for 5 point gains

There have been some changes to the back-end rating of puzzles that impacts the puzzle selection algorithm and ratings but the value shown in the interface is still the old ratings.

The new system is designed to be more accurate and the ratings in the UI should be updated in the future.

It’s not the puzzle ratings that are wrong. It’s the puzzle algorithm that’s bugged. There’s been 4-5 threads in the last week, all with the identical issue of consistently low grade puzzles with difficulty not shifting despite getting puzzles correct. I’ve gone from getting an average of 55% correct historically to 85% in the last week, with the puzzles at the level I would expect in puzzle rush.

Same issue here. I grinded from 2500 to 3000 elo with puzzles rated under 2000. I have been getting only +5 pts whenever i get one correct although sometimes they were tricky. When i get it wrong the penalty was really harsh ranging from -24 to even -35🥲🥲

Try changing your puzzle Difficulty setting to Hard or Extra Hard

The average rating of puzzles presented should be higher and getting higher rated puzzles right can result in higher points gains.
