Sound Effects on Live Chess?

Definately an on/off switch for whatever sound.

I would like a hint that I can't make certain moves (because I am still in check). Something like: "I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that".

Dear staff,

I just asked veggiegirlie in the support & help channel this question, and she suggested to write to the staff directly, so here I am.

Obv I first searched the forum and finally found this thread concerning sounds.

The question was: what sounds would you like to hear, if it's time for you to move, you are checked or mated.

I better would like to draw your attention to this: WHEN DO YOU NEED A SOUND?

E.g.:

You play your opponent hard, strong, you almost got him crushed - he only has 22 seconds left and he is one rook and one pawn behind.

You lost the last 2 games but now - it's gonna change!

But then!!!! NOOOOO! The beep sound hits your ear like a pain in the ass!

Its your own timer, that reaches zero!

THAT IS THE MOMENT WHERE YOU WISH YOU WOULD HAVE HEARD A SOUND!

Please implement a little feature, where users can decide to hear a warning beep, if their timer runs below [n] seconds (maybe 5 or 10).

Because its very difficult to play bullet or blitz games and simultaneously watch both timers.

I think if this would be possible for you, i would no longer have a reason to play anywhere else.

Thank you very much in advance for your accomodation.

Yours sincerely,...

hey all. we know we need some sound effects for live chess. here is my question: what kind of sounds would you like?

for moves i assume we'll do something that sounds like a move on a board.

but for things like CHECK, GAME OVER, DRAW request, etc, would you like to hear different beeps and buzzes? or would you like to hear a voice say "draw request", etc.

let me know what you think!?
