STOP LETTING TITLED PEOPLE PLAY IN UNTITLED TUESDAYS!!!!!!

I just played a GM that absolutely smashed me in a game of chess. It is called untitled Tuesday not open Tuesday.

Do you have a link to the game? Titled player accounts don't even have the option of joining Untitled Tuesday (just like how untitled accounts don't have the option of joining Titled Tuesday). Some Untitled Tuesday opponents are really high rated, but they don't have official chess titles.

Yeah, I didn't play in that tournament but I did see the players. I saw 2 fide masters/national masters and the games hadn't even started yet, so I bet there were even more later.

Lol not true. When I played there were a bunch of evil titled players that have nothing to gain for winning (they get free diamond memberships for being titled) but still decided they wanna troll and ruin things for the rest of us.

But this has been a problem for a while and CC has done nothing so I really doubt they'll change things now.

No, not against grandmasters. Against FMs, NMs, and IMs maybe. And yeah, I don't think many people like it when they come in and A) potentially take away prizes that are useless for them (whether or not this happens depends on what the system is) And B) Annihilate almost everyone and ruin huge winstreaks, etc.

So yeah, I do want tourneys where we play against titled players. But not when I'm competing for a diamond membership in a tournament called Untitled Tuesday

Looks like there were three titled players and two were out early (one after round 1 and one after round 2). It looks like the GM made it in later in the event though.

I don't think the tournament creation option has a way to prevent titled players from joining events, unless it's something on the back-end or available to staff.

Could you ask CC staff to try and add a feature like this, if possible?

UTT moved to the chess.com community club recently, which has no entry requirements. It therefore stands to reason that people will be playing unfairly more frequently and there might be titled players in a previously gatekeeped event.

In the early untitled tuesday event, there were no titled players. I think that we just have to trust the titled players, and we always have the option to report if we ever find each other in this situation

Pretty sad titled players need an ego boost, so they play against players 1000 pts lower instead of in the titled arena, you cannot play in Titled Tuesday unless you have a title, so it should be blocked for titled players to play in Untitled arena's that are named as such, not to difficult to implement.

lol I remember a WFM (I dunno if I'm allowed to name them) was playing in Community Bullet Brawl (For which titled players have their own version where this is a problem), lost to a 900, and started complaining on their small stream about how they got matched against a bad player when they literally chose to be in a tournament that does that and obliterate weaker players instead of competing against their peers.

Yeah, It's really bad sportsmanship from the titled players. We don't get to enter the titled one, but you get to enter ours? So everytime y'all gonna use the titled player pass? This isn't fair. Playing titled players are great, but playing them online isn't really that important (especially when it's blitz)
