TEAM MATCH AND VC LEADER BOARDS....

Ive been a memebr of Last Rites  for a little while. I cant speak for the past , but anyone suspected of engine use would be kicked immediately.

I could name loads of strong vote teams that have had cheats booted, but thats not the point of this forum.

Commander_Riker

That's true DiogenesVC with the Vote Chess groups.

In fairness to all many VC groups were banned before Dawns finally realized that just about every VC group he checked had broken every Masters Match Rates. In reality he would have had to ban most every group so he gave up completely with VC. It only takes 1 engine user to sku the whole game regardless of the group size ???

Bilbo21

Surely that's a good thing, Diogenes for them to be under more scrutiny

I have only been around for a short time but I like the leader board the way it is. I feel it shows longevity, look at all the groups that have just died out and faded away.

Perhaps a chess.com trophy for longevity.....but not a leaderboard IMHO :-)

That would be nice too. I like the points board. Just like there are large groups that play alot of matches and have low win %. There are those groups that are just full of +1700 players and won't let a beginner like me join. Those +1700 groups play groups that don't realize how strong they are and that helps that small group get a higher winning %. So, all of this is just a matter of how big your group is and who you let in. What do you guys think about that?

I agree with DeathW1sh. The Leaderboard shows how many points a team has. If that is what is has to show, then it is alright. But I guess a Leaderboad should show more than that. I team with 5000 members can open matches very often, win only 20% of them, and still have much much more points and higher position than a team with 500 players but 85% of wins. To me, the second group should be in a higher position.

Unikat-Automat

5000 member,s group cannot make 20% match. Maximal 2-3-4 %.

NightKingx

What is that even mean?

Ahh ok, but I wasn't talking about that. I was talking about the victory ratio of the team.

I will mention some really strong teams of chess.com

1.Great viking warriors

2.Lullabyisca

3.Team Iran

4.IRANIAN

5.Unikat-Automat team

6.DORU-66 AND HIS BEST FRIENDS

7.Chess lovers & CHESScom International_Europe.

They are really strong right?

I believe that The Ultimate Training Center beat Great Viking Warriors a couple of times...but I may be wrong.

DORU-66 AND HIS BEST FRIENDS was really strong. Historical Association, Unikat Automat Team, and The Arizonians can also give you some big fights.

Now that you mention this. What is strong? Beating your opponents consistenly and having a high % of victories? What if you barely lose games because you cancel matches when you think your team is going to lose?

Let me add to that list Russia Central Federal District. They fear nobody, never cancel a match, and play solid and strong.

Unikat-Automat

Robert, you are really funny.

High amount of matches & High win ratio indicates strength to me

Couldn't agree more.

Maybe they should make a formula to mix those two and generate a "better" leaderboard.

Unikat-Automat

Generate a " better" leaderboard? Only the points makes leaderboard. The points
