The little 'page' icon at top right is the control function - very handy too.

When you click the plus + symbol (as mentioned by artfizz) you get a 'recently closed' bar at the bottom, making it very easy to re-open previous sites you have visited.

Give Chrome a chance - it gets better the more you explore it.

Chrome is definitely the fastest, I have been using it since it started.

Google Chrome won't let me access this site. It gives a 400 Bad Request only on this site. : ( I'm back to using Internet Explorer which actually seems to be running smoothly for the most part.

I still think firefox is way better. Also, Google already has a lot of information about me.

Have been and still am a HUGE fan of FireFox.  To me there is no better browser.  Especially after you tweak it a bit.

I used chrome for ages, and then suddenly it stopped working on this site!!

I now get 400 bad request!

I have now started using Safari.

Here is a repost of ZRH:

or you can go to about:config in firefox, search pipe and set the first option (network.http.pipelining) to true and the second (network.http.pipelining.maxrequests) to 20, and voila: firefox now loads many more things at the same time.  Have to admit that chrome is better at live chess though.  The add-ons are what what keep me with firefox. The space below the address bar is also a great place to keep favorites, a feature that chrome does not have.

Firefox = Audi A8

Chrome = Bugatti Veyron

Do you know the path for that file in Ubuntu? I'm not finding it.

Yup.  The gouvernment it keeping tabs - pun intended. ;-)

Joking aside, if you have misgivings about that, SRWare Iron is your friend.  Google made Chrome's code publicly available and Iron is it whithout the sketchy potentially privacy violating sections of code.

Cheers,

kenneth67
