I now have to click extra steps just do play a game or do the daily puzzle. Such an upgrade! All for it to look more childish! Amazing!

100% I am disgusted with all the changes. I don’t see my streak either for the daily puzzle. I was over 400+ days and don’t know where to see that. It’s like they hired a new designer who actually hates his customers so does everything possible to annoy them.

I agree. It’s awful. Scrolling sideways to see your games is not good. Plus half the screen is taken up by the friends section which I don’t care about. Let us customise it and remove sections.

I just got hit with the new app layout in the past 24 hours. It is absolutely horrendous.
I have to scroll over to find the daily puzzle + cannot see the streak.
There is a huge ugly block dedicated to friends and details etc that is entirely unnecessary and misplaced.
I hate what they done with daily games. I liked having those games at the bottom and only cycled to the top when an opponent played a move. Made it so easy to manage and find games when you wanted to explore an idea/line.
And, more than that, it is just plain ugly and dysfunctional. Absolutely horrible. 0/10. Massive L. Needs to be rectified.

It was bad enough when it took me back to the pointless puzzles screen that doesn't let you do puzzles without extra clicks after leaving a puzzle. Now they've added in this crazy horizontal scrolling and I'm not sure this is a functional app anymore. Actively hostile to users.
Some make-work "UX/UI engineer" at chess.com is definitely getting paid too much. Looks gross, confusing, not customizable so I can have it look the way I want. Dumb.

This new layout is a miss. The reasons have been mentioned on this thread already and they are all fair and true.
