The Sicilian Dragon
Oh! That gambit is a key posittion for black in the accelerated dragon. Forgot to mention.
I presume after exd5, Nb4 follows.
Also, Deagle thanks for joining my group.
Yes, at my level there are always blunders. In the games posted at least, it was mostly my opponent, though I'm sure my game had plenty of points where I made the wrong moves.
I love sicilian and when white goes for an open one, I generally always play the dragon now. The exception is if they go for some Bc4 variant early, in which case I'll go ahead and play e6 followed by a6 and quick queenside development, which has been working well for me in those lines.
I thought the best structure for closed sicilian (pawns on d3 and e4) was the dragon taking advantage of weak squares on d4 and e5.
This was one of the reasons why Bobby Fischer played 3 d3 only after black played 2...e6 after which a dragon structure is impossible
The reason Fischer played KIA against ...e6 structure has to do with Blacks light square Bishop. It's difficult to find development ( Bg4-Bf5) and that gives advantage for White to build a King side attack by using the g4 square for his Knight and the diagonal g2-h3 for his bishop pointing on e6.
I think another reason he liked the KIA in that line was that he was a diehard KID player and its the same type of game a tempo up.
