I have not blocked a single user. I do my own filtering, I don't want chess.com to do my filtering for me. Anybody is free to post in threads I start.
The way I see it, if a user does something which in my opinion is worthy of being added to my block list, they likely are going to look to all other users like a bit of a [DELETED BY KOHAI].

I don't think you understood what I wrote. You are talking about denatured ethanol used by the students in labs. Yes, they do put stuff in there to make you sick if you drink it, I think it's just methanol. So it's called DENATURED ALCOHOL. But, the TEACHERS, or RESEARCH DEPARTMENTS can order PURE ETHANOL for research. Which is what my profs did.
BTW, you can make ethanol without using grain. They can synthesize it. But by law, at least in the U.S., only ethanol make from grain can be consumed for drinking purposes. Labs can use the synthesized stuff, which is more pure.
I never said you could drink pure or 190 proof ethanol. If you do, it dehydrates your throat tissues so fast your throat closes completely up and you suffocate. It just absorbs water so fast, which is why it won't stay pure once it's exposed to the air. If the air has water vapor in it.
Did you know the main reason people get hangovers is because they are dehydrated? Drinking lots of water before sleeping (or passing out) after you drink works great! I can get as drunk as I want and never get a hang over. And I rarely drink. Eating after getting drunk helps too.
Sorry for the health tip.
My Professors only had 95/5% on hand. We didn't chug it while doing the experiments. You say that you rarely drink but when you do you are an expert on avoiding the after affects. Makes me think you are an expert on drinking. Nothing wrong with that, just don't throw crap out and see if it sticks to the wall.
