Hello,

I live in Paris (France) and I will play live tournaments games but I do not know the timezone of the site chess.com ...

What is the time difference with the various countries of the world?

Thank you for your help.

You don't really have to know the time zones (unless you want to play with someone in particular, but, for that, you just have to look to see if they're online). Tournaments repeat themselves over a cycle of two hours, so you an play essentially whenever you want.

Thank you for your answers.
This question because when I'll play live tournaments where players must give an appointment ... We must have a reference time zone ... For example when Australian player meets a French player ...
Which time zone does the website chess.com based ? (New York, Beijing, Paris, Sydney) ? ...

pacific time (west coast of US) I think.

Angevine would be referring to the Live Chess Tournament that I am directing within my group most probably :)

@Angevine, I thought we already confirmed that it would 9am Paris time?

Angevine

Yes, all is Ok. Many thanks ! :)

Paris would be 5 hrs AHEAD of the US,  Eastern Standard Time.  So at 6am Paris,  its 1am Boston, New York, Washington.

Los Angeles time.

If "International Date Line West (UTC-12:00)" or "Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+12:00)" be selected as a reference time, calculations will be much simpler.
