You don't really have to know the time zones (unless you want to play with someone in particular, but, for that, you just have to look to see if they're online). Tournaments repeat themselves over a cycle of two hours, so you an play essentially whenever you want.

@Angevine, I thought we already confirmed that it would 9am Paris time?

Paris would be 5 hrs AHEAD of the US, Eastern Standard Time. So at 6am Paris, its 1am Boston, New York, Washington.
