Personally, I think it would be really cool to be able to see how many people are currently logged onto Chess.com. That way users (new or old) can get a sense of how large this community is and will perhaps attract new people to play. Just a suggestion... any thoughts?
If you click above where it says "members" the middle section on that page says "members online" .. click where it says "see all members online" and it will give you about 98 pages [last time i looked] of members that are online now.
Thanks for the info. Yeah I guess there's alot more people on this site than I thought . Still, it would be very Web 2.0 to have a dynamic count on the top of the page near the logo or the search box perhaps.
i think giving "free invoice" to premium members (for this month), and pausing the timer for daily chess and daily tournaments, can help compensate the current database issue (especially for paid members).
