vacation?

Prob a dumb question that I could look up somewhere, but how does 'vacation' time work? I'm in a daily and my opponent (right before timing out) put up a 2 month vacation sign 😂. Does this imply the game may sit idle on my screen for that long? I take no offense at snarky responses 🙃

Yep it's gonna remain idle for 3 months (unless your opponent decides to make a move any time during the 3 month duration).
By the way you could just abort the game since it hasn't started yet.

ig you mean 3 months, that game is showing 3 months vacay time for your opponent. Better to abort, I dont see much point in waiting 3 months for a game that hasnt started at all

It's a Club/tourny daily. I didn't want to abort if it would give the opposing team a point. I'll just let it sit for now before I screw something up ðŸĪŠðŸ˜‚. Thank you both for your responses. It did answer my question! 🙏

It's a maximum of 3 months. More likely they'll be back in a day or two.

3 months does not mean that your opponent wants to postpone the game for that long, it just means that he still has 3 month of vacation time till the end of the year. It's likely that your opponent is actually on holiday for a few days or so and the game will resume as soon as he's back. That's what the vacation option is for.
