high percentage of fake homeless? a real low, not a new one, but low just as well.
i believe with charity, the onus is on the one who gives to ensure it reaches the right hands for the right reason. my kids went to a convent school and were taught to donate to whatever causes that come up. i'm totally against that. given the limited amount of time & money one has, one has to direct them wisely. i tell them to pick just 1 cause and explain why it deserves their attention and how they ensure that their time/money will actually reach the cause. irresponsible charity does more bad than good imho. maybe that will change when we become multi-millionaires or billionaires.
