violated fair play rules??

Hey Chess.com'ers..I just had something new happen.  My opponent got himself in a bad position and suddenly became disconnected, (that's not new unfortunately), I was getting ready to block him from future games when I heard the screen burp.  I went back and found the the game had apparently been stopped, his red clock had stopped ticking.  The message in the chat box said XXX might have violated chess.com's fair play rules and may have his account restricted.  Is this something new?  What did he do?  Can chess.com now detect when someone disconnects after making a blunder?  Something else?  I ask because this is the first time that I've seen it in literally thousands of games.

I personally haven't seen it done, but apparently Chess.com has a new detection system to get disconnectors.

Check out this blog post. It talks about the Fair Play policy and some changes that were just made on it.

This player, RushingRoulette00, twice abandoned the game when losing, does chess.com ever take any action to remove such players?  It does not see so.

I was playing a member who needed to leave, and got the Fair Play policy warning. Hope his account is not restricted.

This only happens if it becomes a habit.

Some people are habitual losers.

k good.

If he needed to leave, press resign then leave. Avoids the message and lets the other start a new game faster.

Glad we finally got that sorted.

Some people are bad losers , others have connection problems. There is a big difference , of course! You never know if your opponent tries to escape or if their connection crushed... In one of my games my connection failed after the second move! I got a warning message but it wasn't my fault...
