Wasted time

Having been a fairly long time member of Chess.com I have spent many rewarding hours enjoying playing online. Lately however I find it frustrating that so many reasonably new members disconnect or abandon a game as soon as the game starts to turn against them. This is totally unacceptable and would consider demanding a refund of my fee as this is not gamesmanship,

I will also be spreading this information if something is not done about removing by making some rule that they are removed if they do this/

You can report behaviors like these. Once you report the offending opponent, chess.com will review them and decide whether or not to ban them for abuse.

Chess.com does have systems in place to deal with frequent abandoners, including automatic timeouts, cooldown periods, and fair play detection. But no system is perfect, and yes — it's especially noticeable in games with newer or unrated players.

Thank you for your response. It all boils down to mutual respect. In a couple of games I have been reduced to the King and three or four chessmen, excludig the Queen, and played on and in one instance won the game.
