Although after slogging through your horribly formatted comment, I think you have a point.
Socially inept children making worthless spam threads and disparaging comments toward people with provocation in order to get the attention their parents denied them is something which has made the forums a rather unpleasant place.
Although, their are occasionally instructive and substantial threads, which is why I still look at the forums.

(points to a reinvented wheel with a flat tire) This feature is designed so that people can show that they like and dislike a comment without actually putting up a decent argument! People can now beg for upvotes for now reason, wasting everyone's time! (We'll get to those people later) Or, if someone makes an actually good post, they now have the ability to mass downvote it! How ever many more upvotes there are than downvotes, a number will be shown just like our first version (or if downvotes>upvotes, there will be a negative number!) Now that you have seen our main feature, let's move on to the community!
Trolls
(points to street thugs with ragged clothes, one of which has a bone in his mouth) Trolls! These immature guys that have nothing better to do often pollute the community with their useless, deconstructive threads. And when someone quite easily debunks their argument, this new feature will help these thugs (gets poked by a very sharp fingernail by the bone chewing one) I mean guys (gets poked again) Heroes? (Poked AGAIN) SAINTS!! JEEZ LET ME FINISH swarm the post and bring it DOWN. Lets meet a few other of these weird people!
People that beg for upvotes
(Bone chewing one hits guy with side of bone that he chewed on) Ow! (walks over to the tent with all the people who never got a job) Meet the Upvote Panhandlers, erm, the Upvote... (what should I call u guys? Skinny one: the Upvoted) the Upvoted! These guys have no history in the threads, so they beg for upvotes on the side of the street and waste everyone's time! Easily disturbing, right? (Gets drilled in the head by a rock) Already had enough pain from the bone so now I'm numb! Anyway, those were all the crazy, immature people that live here, lets move on to the sensible peeps!
