Setting pieces down on the edges and corners of a square instead of the center.

Running their moron mouth the whole time.

Setting up the pieces wrong (e.g bishops, knights, king and queen squares).

Starting with the board in the wrong orientation.

Accusing you of cheating when you capture en passant.

Continuing the game after a completely hopeless loss or position.

Calling the game “chest.”

Exposing their king to check and having to be told they can’t do that.

Not castling because they’re busy launching an attack from move 3

Taking every single exchange on the first move it’s available.

Fianchettoing their bishop and then throwing it away for a piece of garbage on the other end of the board.

Trying to play the whole game with their queen.

Actually having the audacity to try the scholar’s mate.

Putting their knight on the rim for no reason at all.

Blowing out their king-side pawn coverage to chase after a knight/bishop while both queens and all the other pieces are still on the board.

Spending the whole opening moving pawns and blocking their minor pieces from development in the process.

Playing only blistering fast games when they don’t have any board-vision intuition or idea how to play

That’s about all I can think of right now;)

Don’t forget rage quitting when someone takes their queen.

Oh yea! Also… spending the entire opening (and beyond) doing 95% pawn moves and not developing any of their pieces.

"What do you mean stalemate is a draw! I could still have won!"

Ima be real with ya when im close to losing and when i get checkedmate i rage a bit

BoardMonkey

I touched my opponent's rook first and captured one of my own pieces with it. My opponent said that's my piece and I said sorry. Then I captured the rook I touched with another one of my pieces which is what I intended to do in the first place. I know I will never be great. Maybe if I took that drug Librium like in that Netflix series The Queen's Gambit.

BoardMonkey

Hmmm, technically I should have moved the second piece I touched since it was the first piece of my own that I touched. I should have been called for that. Oh well, I lost anyway.

This is the wildest thing that ever happened in a chess match.

Did Sam Sevian damage the king that he removed from the board? I would be upset if I received this chess set when it was later offered on one of the chess sites that sell collector-grade merchandise.

Bringing out the Queen early and then resigning as soon as they lose her.
