What are the Dimensions for tournament peices

Every set is different (well not sets that are the same "model").

Check out House of Staunton.  They list dimensions for all their sets.  Find one you like and copy it sounds like a plan.  Do you know the USCF guidelines?  I don't, but you should probably make sure your set will be legal.  I'm thinking the K has to be a minimum of 3.5" height and 1.5" diameter.  More standard is 3.75" or 4" by 1.75" diameter which fits perfectly on a 2.25" square board.  Hope that helps.

If it's for a tournament, your tournament organizer will point you to the rules for that tournament.  Generally the rules are designed to allow any "normal" dimensions, with players allowed to refuse any particular set.
