I love the quality of the articles on this site. They are very instructive and helpful for a new chess player,such as myself, and helpful to experienced players too. It is a great site to play chess and meet new friends.
but there are no articles about David Beckham or Connor McLeod or pdela, so why does anyone read them ?

I'm even older! It was ++ in my days. 
You are not old! I only learned to play chess a few years ago so I didn't know that.
It must be a cultural issue. No symbol for that on any of my books!
All the letters for pieces are wrong!

Yes, Q, K, R, N and B instead of D, R, T, C and A. ;)
It's funny that I always write and speak in English notation in Slovenia. I remember a few years ago, me and NewArdweaden were on a lesson with a coach and it was quite funny when we tried to "Slovenise" (make sounding it Slovenian) openings or pieces. 
But why in English?
Because I learned chess on the internet. And Slovene sound funny.
Getting muted for the most basic of language, such as the word 'crap!'
I also freak out with Urdu names if the pieces of whatever. English is so sleek!
