What do you think of players who takes 3 days to make every single move?

They haven't implemented correspondence chess properly. For example 20 days for 10 moves is much better than 3 days for every move. That way you can take a break for a week if you are busy and you don't run out of time. Also vacation time should be removed completely. There is no good reason to have vacation time if you have proper time limits.

I'm playing a guy, ( another site ) 3 day moves. He moved once or twice a day until he blundered a knight, then he went on vacation for 2 months, although he still logged in regularly, then took the full 3 days  per move, vacation for 2 weeks, same again, another 2 week vacation, back to 3 day moves, yawn!! he's completely lost now and I'm about to queen, twice!! and all he has are pawns, still he's dragging out every move, perhaps he's hoping i'll keel over and die before I can finish him. Just as well it's not a 14 day timescale or old age might just get me first.

So childish!  The funny thing is that he is only prolonging his own misery but thinks it's worth it because he imagines you suffering.

Should but be able to finish him in a dozen or so moves... about another 6 months then.

Some players use this as a discipline.

They do it by habit to avoid blunders.

No bad thing.

However lost positions should be resigned immediately.

I'm still playing against someone who is a Queen, a Knight and a Bishop down, and now facing mate in one.  I really don't care if he doesn't resign.  Sooner or later I'll win and it doesn't matter when that is.

I considered it, but didn't bother.  I might try to win his 2 Rooks first instead of mating him.  Although probably not.  His rating is dropping so the longer I take to win the fewer rating points I'll win!
