What happened to the good old days of chess.Com forums?
Or, you have just become too familiar with the format.

Irrelevant. 14M or 10M, the quality has declined. Besides, check any 10 members at random and you'll find 5 of them haven't logged in in months or more.

Nice to hear from you batgirl, glad you're still around. I guess there is a component of nostalgia in my wistfulness.
You have been anaesthetised by numerous comments and witticisms, that you cannot find any new material that amuses you. Take a step back and embrace a new generation of idiots. They abound on this site. Just saying.
thank you that makes more sense. And you are 100% correct.
And in general people that choose to play chess I find have a higher iq than average as opposed to those that just post on any random yahoo forum. Exceptions are the rule of course.

If kaynight is not the best member on chess.com, then things have been going downhill.
It seems to me that the forums here used to be really good, lots of colorful characters, interesting topics and even the trolls were of a higher quality. Now the topics suck and 4 out of 5 posters are just lame trolls that aren't even entertaining. I have drifted away because it's not worth my time anymore. I think it's Obamas fault.
