What happened to the Pierre bot

I've been playing this bot for years and always enjoyed the zen-like experience of punishing his consistent f5 first move. Today he's suddenly playing a variety of openings. What happened?

You are misunderstanding — the Pierre bot described itself as always starting with e4/f5. That was fun and quirky. It no longer does.

Pierre still says this when you beat him even though it doesn't make much sense if he's not conspicuously playing the f-pawn.

Pierre is secretly humen

It's not just Pierre; none of the bots are using their accustomed opening books. I just got wayward queen attacked by Sven of all "people." All of the intermediate bots now seem to play the Horowitz defense 90% of the time. Seems like something has bugged their individual opening books.
