What happens when you block someone?

Once blocked, a member cannot do any of the following:
- post notes to your account
- send you messages
- accept your game seeks
- be auto-matched with you in open seeks
- join tournaments that you are running
- post in content that you created
.
You could still have to play them in a tournament.

Recently I played with an opponent and I played a very rare line. But my opponent played exactly the same mainline but took much time to play one move. I was sure he could have been cheating so I blocked him. I feel guilty now. What happens if I block someone??? PLEASE HELP!!!

i'm not sure that's a sign of cheating.
also you can always unblock them

When you block someone what happens is that you will never be able to play that same person on chess.com ever again, and when you report someone that means on whatever you reported them on they might be banned from chess.com for a period of time or they will never be able to play on chess.com ever again, and if that happens you can create a new chess.com profile and you would have learned a lesson that you should never do what you did again.
I have a current game. My opponent was playing normally until it was clear he had lost. So he went to waiting the full 3 days to make each move. Even when it was a forced move. I'm hanging in for the victory for sure (unless something prohibits me). I know he has a right to do that and I'm not complaining about that. I just don't want to play him again ever. So if I block him during our game what happens?
