Daily chess is just a long time control game of chess . Instead of a set time for an entire game, you'll get 1 day, 3 days, or even more time for every move. That way, you can play a lot of daily chess games at the same time (50+ if you wish), and check back every day to make your move, taking as much time as you need with each game
What is daily chess?

Hello. In daily chess you have at least 24 hours to make your move, and you can choose 1, 3, 7 days / move etc.

I signed up to play a Daily Chess game but have not received any notifications. How long do I wait before there is no game?

did you join a tournament or just normal match
if its the first then wait for it to start
if the second idk

It is just a normal match - my first time. There does not seem to be any record of me even making the request/challenge.

In Play check your Outgoing Challenges. If it hasn't been auto-paired it's in the Open Challenges queue most likely.

It is correspondence chess that uses a website as the mechanism for move transmission.
@Erik doesn’t like the term, so chess.com uses one that cultivates confusion.
Daily chess, also known as Turn-based chess or online correspondence chess, is chess except played with time in the format of n days per move. It is just like chess played through the mail, which is why the time controls are much longer. You can log out of Chess.com and not lose the game, which does not happen in Live Chess; you would just lose if you logged out. Not only that, but non-premium members may also host a simul, meaning play multiple games at once, but only in Daily chess. If you ever hang your queen and want a takeback, Daily Chess is for you! Takebacks are only allowed in Daily Unrated games, and the Takeback option is enabled. Daily chess features many days per move, but takebacks may be necessary. If you make a move before n days, then your time resets to n days. Otherwise, the opponent will win if s/he had enabled "automatically claiming win when time runs out" on Chess.com's daily chess settings. Otherwise, s/he will have to manually claim the win. If you make a move before s/he claims the win manually, then s/he no longer can do so, and the game will continue as if no one had timed out. To prevent timeouts, we recommend you check each day if there is a move that you can play.
Hello! I am new to Chess.com and have discovered daily chess. What is it exactly? Is it just reminding you to play a game of chess every day, or is it specific puzzles, etc.?
