What would you say about a Chess.com world Championship?

I've been looking around, and chess.com seems to be a little... empty in some spots. So why not kick in some life into this website? Let's have Bullet, Blitz, and Standard Chess Champions plus Endgame and Puzzle creator/solver titles! Please post your thoughts.

That sounds like a good idea to me. What should be the time control for standard? 30 mins? Or maybe have multiple controls?

The idea is good, so the members here will be more likely to participate in Chess.com. In fact we already have 5 million members and Chess.com grandmaster is possible. Chess.com can also create World Chess.com Championship Match and a tourneys for all chess.com members. The population here is many so this can be achieved.

But this also will take time to updated.

eliminate the cheat bots and it's a good idea. a championship i mean. for starters if you're going to do such a thing, it's a good idea to establish who people are so if you see an unknown beating 2400s you know who to investigate for trolololing the tournament.

or even better, a chess.com chess 'festival' with lectures by somebodies, annotated games, chess news bringing unwonted attention to chess peeps, rensch droning on about pop culture like an arsene wenger-bot or nixon-ator, or super serial methods of introspection (analysis) AN, pruess being all sorts of factual, implementation of bughouse (ahem). large group simul so that people (me)  have the opportunity to beat up on IMs like small fries b/c they have no time to calculate. [plus it's fun to see them self-flaggelate themselves for losing afterwards ]

  if they were to do a championship, bughouse, and chess960 at quick controls (say 2 and 1 min) would be kewl.

thinking about it, my idea is awesome, do it now, er, sometime.   maybe once a year.  maybe upon internationalizing chess.com into all languages.

Probably the time control should be like G/30 Standard, G/10 for Blitz, and

G/3 for Bullet. Petrosianic, Bughouse and Chess960 would be cool!
