Okay, you said it. I prefer to be my real name Ray Duque III, the GMBD of chess sites and dance sites communities. Recognized and be known.

sawdof, #446 is the same to my first name but it's not my last name. That's okay, it's close to my name anyway. Just to be recognized and be known.

@Martin_Stahl,@Ziryab,@Batgirl@Elroch,@AlCzervik, @DrSpudnik,, @VirtualKnightJoakim,@RayDuqueIII,@blackfirestorm,@BISHOP-e3

The above are most of the really prominent ones,

Martin takes the cake as the architype of moderators.

However, I rate @Batgirl as by far the most informative and worthwhile reading for every word she wrote.

I will update this when more votes are given. Not including any self-votes, and I'm also not including any votes without a link to the name, because I often forget their exact username.

Oh yeah, and I'm counting no votes for @yourmom, or anyone else that gets voted who hasn't actually done anything in the chess.com community.

Llama no longer has an active account to anyone’s knowledge, correct?

Of all the people named here, he was one of the last ones I expected to go inactive. Pretty surprising.

Yeah, Llama is gone. I believe he may be on a Reddit chess channel under a new moniker because he mentioned it at one point. He was also a member of my "top secret" chess message board, which currently has only 4 members...myself, Batgirl, RJC, and Llama...but Llama and RJC have not posted there in years and myself and Batgirl not in many months.

I have a list of members here to invite there if the circumstances ever warrant it...like a kind of Noah's Ark.

RJC? I surely should know, but I don't. BTW, give Batgirl my regards, She is nothing short of great.

A couple of names not mentioned that I think were/are prominent and worthy of mention. @gambit-man, @SmyslovFan and @MGleason.

Since I was mentioned in this thread, I sapose I should chime in with my 2 cents. I remember Kaynight, & Nobodyreally. Their navigational skills were nothing short of historic. My god, they could carry 6 conversations in 9 threads while checking messages, & playing 2 games in 8 minutes. shock

I'm surprised nobody mentioned good ol' Chomper, and his pot-stirring ways ...

That is subjective. Just because someone is known by a lot of people in the community does not mean they will be known by everyone. There will still be thousands who dont know who someone is. Heck I've seen 2000s who dont know who Magnus is.

brochacho only saying that cuz he has 150 views

also what 2000 doesn't know who magnus is?? (unless they like provisional player)

I will not retract my statement, and why would I care about views? People often target others based on their own insecurities, so, relax buddy. Views don't matter.

Has Internet, plays chess at 2000 and don't know who is Magnus Carlsen?

Is only making fun of you.

Please tell me where in my message I said they had played on Chess.com, or even played on any chess website? Regardless if they are making fun of me, there are certainly people out there who play chess and don't know who he is.

To add to that it depends on what you define famous as. If you define it as being known by a bunch of people, that is totally different than someone that commonly appears on forums.

In my opinion, the most famous person on chess.com is the one that plays the best.
