Why accept only to abort?
Agreed! This poor behavior is being added to the list of things that lowers one's "fair play" score - which will quickly result in the offenders' range of playable opponents being severely reduced.

Does this apply to games I abort when being a chess greeter? Sometimes I might have it set to 5 or 10 games, left it a day or so and they've not moved, so I abort to I can play someone else willing to actually play a damn game.
If this does affect my score, then they I won't bother being a chess greeter.
Applies to live not online games.
This is still going on. There are no unknown variables in the games I create... no random colors, etc. And still, 3/4 of the games I create are accepted and immediately aborted. I wish these children would grow up.
DeepGreene (or other staff), might I suggest a slight modification to the software? While aborting certainly has a legitimate use, we should keep that ability. But perhaps we should disallow aborts within ten minutes of accepting a game. I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but could be worth discussing.
