why can titled players have 2 accounts but not us?

Having titled players here brings in additional regular players/members. Giving titled players premium for free is marketing.

A second anonymous account allows them to just play without people being able to see what they are playing/experimenting with.

I'm still looking for that provision in TOS.

why would they let only titled players have accounts? There must be some reason why they are trying to do it. But i consider it to be elitism. Is it elitism??

There's no such thing as a free lunch, mate. Do you know how much time and money I had to spend on the side just to get (or not get) my CM title? Putting the hours in to study chess, plane fees for tourneys etc.. Besides, Chess.com has many great features free, with puzzles, articles and whatnot. And premium membership is very very affordable.

When you sign up for a free trial that requires a credit card, it will start charging you at the end of the trial if you do not cancel.  The vast majority of sites operate this way.

Titled players actually compete OTB, and the ability to look up 1000s of their games online means something... but someone looking up you? It means nothing.

Well, we also play OTB tournaments and experimenting should be allowed to everyone with a anonymous acc.
