No matter how many unarmed people you have, a gun is a gun. Criminals attack unarmed people for a reason, why is crime so high in states that don't have a lot of guns?

Having a weapon is first resort, using it is last, if a criminal is strangling you, I for some reason think self defense might be slightly helpful. You have not answered my question, if you were a criminal would you go after a woman who is armed or unarmed?
