There are some broken achievements and some have been removed. Depending on which ones you're trying to get, it's possible you're not actually meeting the requirements.

Drills don’t seem to work for me. I do a drill and don’t get the award. Not that I’m driven by awards but hey, I’m trying to tick some off!
