Why do you send friend requests?

I have 14 friends and no one has sent me any message. Yes, they have sent me messages back but it wasn't me who requested their friendship. And I keep receiving other requests. What's the heck?

I'm really bad at languages. Actually the reason why have registered on this websight is to improve my poor english. I didn't mean to play chess seriously. My intention was to find friends here but it turned out to be a tricky thing. :)
