Why does the chess.com in phone is limited?

When I want to play in my phone and not in the computer I saw that there are many things that don't appear like: the variants, and you need a diamond membership to see the videos. I think that in the new update they even remove the tournaments! But ¿why?

The website has always had more options than the phone apps. Why? I think it's because phones haven't had enough computing power and memory until fairly recently.

You can use a phone browser app to open the website on your phone.

You can't watch videos on the website without a diamond membership. Are you talking about links to streaming sites like ChessTV?

Hmm.. I just go to "video" and I press one and then it says "upgrade to diamond memebership"

Videos are Diamond only on both the apps and website.

There may be some free videos and I think the site allows a short preview, but not the whole thing. It's one of the big differences of Diamond form the other membership levels.

Attempts to reach Chess.com billing support are futile and I am being asked for 
the third time to be patient. 
1) I signed up for a one-week trial membership. Order # 39796570
2) On 12/21/2020 I formally requested to have a regular membership "Cancelled."
3) I received a welcome Gold membership effective 12/27/2020
4) I immediately requested that membership be cancelled and the money charged 
to my credit card on record be refunded. 
5) Kept getting emails to be patient, I see that the charge is on my account. 
6) I tried today, 12/30/2020 to get this resolved, providing my phone number
for a call back. Again, I received another email to be patient. 

Please someone help.  Why is there not a phone # to talk to a person?
I realize people are working from home because of COVID, but someone needs to be assigned to answer billing issues in a more prompt manner. 
Would appreciate an answer from Chess.com

You mean you expect customer service?! Don't you know that's a thing of the past? Now a day we just have you sit through a 5 minute preamble before telling you to press 8 for "help", then 3 for "other", then 6 for "support", then supply your SSN before being told to hold, before finally getting a recording saying that all representatives are currently assisting other customers.

The reason the phone app on chess.com isn't great is because it requires extra programming to mimic a website unless you have a very good theme that does it for you, such as Flatsome.  I suggest you sent chess support your observations and ask them to fix it.
