I guess just providing basic facts is trolling now a days.

Not only is the political world united to condemn the invasion of the Russian army, but everyone in sports, entertainment or alone, urges us to show support and closeness to the Ukrainian people. Chess.com has always shown the origin country’s flag of each player and I think is just a little sign to show that the world of chess is a united and fair community. Why don’t encourage the chess.com dev team that the the possibility to add the Ukrainian flag as membership flair is developed as soon as possible?

Please keep chess away from all the political propaganda going on. Its good to show support to a country but I don't think chess should be the way to do so.

I have an opinion about this, but I'm a very selfish person, so I won't share it. It's mine! All mine, I tell you!

They do yes, and some people say a country is "just protecting its own interests"

I wonder how many times that has been used to justify war and now it seems genocide ?

He funds all the anti-fracking groups as well for obvious reasons, most of the people who like him in the west just like him because he's anti-lgbt.

The political world is united against Russia because the world needs a scape-goat, to blame its problems on. No one says anything when Europe and the US invade and kill millions in other areas of the world for self gain, but as soon as russia moves to protect its self interests, like stopping Ukraine from joining NATO, or not allowing the US to set up Missiles in Ukraine, all of a sudden the world loses its mind.

The double standard is hilarious.

That’s a demented perspective.

There's no "good people" and no "bad people". There's only "bad people". Sometimes they just happen to be on opposing sides.

The world is a butcher's circus, we've been served the smell of blood, and now we're rallying behind a team, and cheering for it to crush and humiliate the other team.

That's how we are. That's humans for you.

It's a sad situation, indeed.

Just look at the world we live in, it's full of perils and sabotage and greed and we as people are the ones to blame. People would rather live in comfort than face the facts. But the comfort will only lead to despair in the end. The truth is much better even though it's harder. It's roman Caesars world.

And btw, just in case~

The majority are always the good people, because they're the majority.

your talking like me when i was rehabilitated, i dont see a light in fighting the russians however as that only creates more war and splits us all from within each other in the end

Stop pulling a wall over your eyes this is not about stopping war, this is about using Russia as a scapegoat and uniting the western world as much as possible to gain more power.

Why can't it be both?

Also, playing the victim card while Russian tanks roll across boarders is a bit... ineffective.

'What Putin wants is to stop that. He's not trying to Annex Ukraine'

He is killing a lot of people not trying - he lied to you about his intentions before, he lied about 'targeted weapons' and he will lie and lie to stay in power. He has cut you off from most media and will throw you in jail if you use the word ;invasion' or 'war'. Sorry, you need to openyour eyes.

@LaakyBoy2

I assure you that the cause of any account being closed is not for sharing political views on its own. If there was abuse or repeated serious offenses against TOS, this could be a reason.

Also, it an account was closed by chess.com, you need to contact support@chess.com to get any explanation and get any potential second account approved, or this account too may be closed for violating policy.

I find it ironic that Putin declared before the invasion of Ukrain , there was no intention of invading that country, they were just on combined military manoeuvres with Belarus . Just recently he call the west a bunch of lairs 🤷‍♂️
