why is it so hard to promote to elite league

You just play not enough, you should play 24/7, especially in the last two days before your league ends

It's not that difficult. I just advanced to the elite division league today.

To make elite, it took me almost 4000 games. It's much more about persistence than rating - in fact I would say you have to be willing to trash your rating. Also you have to be brutal about optimizing points and being willing to stay up until 3am on a work day etc.

After 2 days, you have only 15 trophies. It looks likes you had only 3 bullet wins with some bonus points from the arena. That puts you in a tie for 8th place, far behind the leader in your division, who has 120 trophies. Even the 3rd place guy has 45 trophies.

If you want to make the next level, you’ve got to play at least 3 times as many games.

AND/ OR

Start winning more of your games.

/ By the way, the contests for the leagues ended 4 years ago. You get nothing for advancing. I don’t recommend staying up all night just to advance in the league.

Play a lot of blitz and rapid.

I'm in Elite just because I have spare time, not because I am a good player.

Leagues are not about being good, they are about just being

You are now in 4th place, just two bullet wins from a four way tie for 3rd place.

Who cares about being in a league, there is no incentive, no rewards, just play the game its fine dont stress about it

DO NOT GET FIRST IN THE FIRST FEW DAYS OF THE LEAGUE, at the last few days, grind for trophies if you want to promote.

I advanced to elite by playing exclusively rapid games, maybe occasionally/ often a game of bullet/blitz. It’s champion that’s hard, I only managed to qualify 4 hours before because of a rapid victory.
