Why?

Why is it that people who need it less get it free and people who need it more have to pay?

It is a benefit to chess.com to have titled members playing here, contributing to the forums and blogs. That will potentially draw more paying members and more members in general for the chance to play those members and learn from them.

really? if i work for something and I get it that's not fair; but if I work for something, I get it and the government takes it away and gives it to someone that didn't work for it, that is fair in your world, right trysts?

Capitalism and Socialism both have their perks and quirks.

Well, when I think of capitalism, I think it's more like personal profit being valued higher than sharing. Whereas when I think of the community, then I think sharing should be valued higher. Sharing over selfishness seems right to me:)

I also think if you work hard for something then I think you should be able to get it. So what is that? Like a kind of socialism and meritocrasy? I don't know?

A denner post. Fantastic.

Yeah, capitalism doesn't seem to work for the majority of people. But it sure works for a few people.

How about having a system like a rollercoaster ride at an amusement park? Like we all start off in line, gradually making it to the top. But then you get only so much time at the top(riding the ride), then you go back to the start of the line again and do it all over. How does that sound?

So instead of the shape of the system being like a pyramid, it would instead be like a circle:)

Sounds like a complete waste of time.

Eventually people will say "I dont bother going to that roller coaster anymore. I got to queue for an hour and pay for my ride, then just as it starts getting good they dump me at the exit gate and let someone else in who hasn't waited in line or paid their entrance fee."

It's gotta be better than people getting to the top of the pyramid and staying there for generations. They insulate themselves and lose a sense of community.

The pharaohs started that system I think.

Avatar of trysts

It seems to be the shape of most countries.
