You've only played 1 bullet game, so I assume you're talking about your game against @katacaflor
Who is not 500, did not play perfectly, and did not mate you in under 20 moves.

But to answer your question, yes, you get refunded points if that user is banned... but (at least how it worked for me in the past) is you're given the win with whatever your current RD is (not your past RD).
In other words if the first person you play cheats and wins and you lose 500 points, then you play 10 games and after those 10 games chess.com bans your first opponent for cheating, then you'll only get like... 20 points back.
Another thing to mention is that chess.com will only refund points to the cheater's 50 most recent opponents. Which is quite annoying, since in bullet games it is reasonably likely that the cheater will be able to play more than 50 games before chess.com can be bothered to ban them

That game was pretty funny. On move 29 he manages to play the worst legal move on the board, then on move 38 he manages to find the only legal move which gets him mated in 1.
Makes me doubt the supposed 2300 lichess rating.
I feel like it's pretty easy to have ridiculous losses in bullet. Hard to judge from one game.
Although... if it's a game you felt you played really well and are bragging about your rating on a different site...
I'm guessing it's this game, where a 1275 player achieved 98.9% accuracy. https://www.chess.com/analysis/game/live/45428949787

Eww, that game is gross. I went ahead and reported that guy.
Thanks for your answers.
Thanks @llama51 for reporting him too. That dude is still not banned, I hope he soon will be.
@Steven-ODonoghue yes, I was rated 2300 in bullet when I closed my Lichess account. For someone rated 2050 FIDE that is normal, I guess. Yes, I did not see much in that game against Kataflor, especially the square e5 did not seem to exist in my vision.
The site normally refunds points if the cheating occurred recently. You could open a ticket to see if points should have been refunded in this particular case.

Yep, back when I started out I would usually get messages from chess.com saying "We have detected that one or more of your recent opponents has violated our Fair Play Policy. As compensation for potentially unfair rating losses, we adjusted your following ratings" and then I would get 7 to 9 points back. I don't recall reporting anyone for cheating back then either so I suppose its an automatic process.
So I play this player with a bullet rating of 500 (I am 2300+ on Lichess). He makes perfect moves, and mates me in under 20 moves. I lose 57 rating points (I am a fresh account with just a few games). I report him for cheating.
If the admins decide to tag him, will these points get restored? Or have I played too few games? Should I wait with playing more games? How long does it usually take until they make a decision?
