Heaven help us all if it's anything like Quizup... horrible. It made it more like a social media thing--pictures, and a lot of garbage nobody really wanted to see. I sure hope not!
Will the new Chess.com update be a Quiz-Up like failure or will it be good?

I'm starting to wonder if this massive update everyone is talking about will be a massive failure kinda like the Quiz-Up trivia game after they updated their game. I clicked at the bottom try the new chess.com and I don't know if that is the new update because I don't really like it is hard to navigate through the site. Has anyone tried the new version is it good or not?
I get on v3 off and on. It has improved over the past year but it is different and there are things about it that I don't really care for. However, if everything was implemented and it went live today, I could live with it.

How do you go on V3?
If you're on computer, go down to the very bottom of the screen and under home, privacy policy, help and support, etc., it should say try the new chess.com

Good question sanjay-- I'd like a peek at it as well. Sort of see a trial run.
You might not be able to change once you do, I did it and I wanted to switch back but it was so hard to get around I couldn't figure out how. It was stuck like that for weeks I think until finally it went back

99% positive you have to be premium right now. But ....

Chessweb; Is it open to non-premium members?
Not sure, I have a diamond so it might just be for premium or diamond members. It should be at the bottom in the background there is a link that says, "Try the New Chess.com!"

It is super easy to switch back to the current v2 version. The link is in the top header on most pages.

That would have been helpful when I was using it . I might see how it is then, now that I can change whenever I want

In the link I posted it says you have to be in the V3 tester's group, which may actually be the case. I thought it was open to any premium (it used to be only for that group) but I could very well be wrong

Well after the DISASTER that QuizUp's "update" was, I am not about to try it and then get stuck on it!
No you can try it and get out

Hmm I'm trying it right now looks like they changed it a little or it's not as bad as I thought it was. I still prefer the old one though

Like everything new, its gonna take a little time to get use to. When they roll it out for the general public, these threads are going to be a mess. Everybody's gonna start threads saying, how do you do this, how do you do that. Hopefully they can make a nice 30 min video that explains

Yeah that is true but I don't think many people are going to watch the video
