I'm kinda late to this thread. When is chess.com making a decision? BTW, I now have links to the various youtube channels. So even if my guys are not selected I can still easily follow their games. There is a lot of entertaining blitz commentary by highly rated players becoming available. KC, CN, CE, Shahade, Zibbit, Rensch. And now all these others. Thanks chess.com.

Once again, I'd like to thank everyone who has supported me (including the latest voters, Momo and Krejci [or Craychee, however you want to spell it:)])! You guys rule :)

My latest standard game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNeim8iLoKw

I really enjoyed that game and learned from it. I've been reading Pawn Power in Chess and Tune your Chess Tactics Antenna and although I haven't gotten better, I can certainly feel an increase in skill coming (might take a few months to see but I'm excited about it).

For those that want to see the game score, you can check out the latest post in my blog: http://www.chess.com/blog/squarology/standard-standoff-3

I have a few videos that I am getting ready to upload soon.  Taking longer to do the final editing than I thought.  It will be worth the wait!

Hi,

I just posted my first public Chess Video on YouTube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7OKz9asP7c

My YouTube Channel is    chesscoach8.

The video shows a game I played featuring lots of chess tactics and traps. You get a chance to try out your tactical abilities.  Appropriate and educational for beginner and intermediate players up to about 1800 USCF rating. Entertaining for just about any chess player. Please watch it and let me know what you think by posting a comment.

Thanks. Chess Coach Allyn

I'm calling my next few games hamburger blitz. Don't really know why.

kamus

6 weeks and 21 pages of posts and no word from chess.com about how this "contest" is supposed to work. WTF?

Actually not a contest, just a bunch of people talking

I know somewhere in that there's a joke but I don't see it.

And RE: Kamus, I want to hear from Chess.com, too. I hope they haven't forgotten about this thing.

Here is another instructional video, based on an exciting blitz game, on my YouTube channel   chesscoach8

Black plays an aggressive Philidor with castling on opposite sides of the board.  This leads to a slugfest that illustrates some important principles, including how one undeveloped piece can ruin your whole game.

Below is a video I made today for FM NFork's simul. Granted it isn't me playing, but I have a very big group here (10th largest on chess.com) with a number of titled players who give simuls when they can. This gives titled players a chance to find students, there are more than enough to go around. We have titled players making videos in this thread, so here is an open invitation for all of them to join my group and give simuls. If I'm free, I'll make a video of your effort as well, it will be fun to compare them. I can get you lots of players, my members rarely get to play titled players and come rushing to pre-register.

so here's the deal, titled players (No title? Join anyway and come play in the simuls! I plan a lot of them, I just need more titled players!:

1) Join my group: http://www.chess.com/groups/home/nm-aww-rats-free-video-lessons

2) Go to group forums and make a topic to announce your simul, you decide when and the terms. Give a date and time (GMT or your time zone) The members know how to convert.

3) How many boards will you play?

4) Time control you will play.

5) Rated or unrated?

6) Remind those that sign up to add you as a friend so they can find you in live chess.

I'll make a group news announcement and help as we get closer to start date. You will enjoy your time in my group, i promise! The more active you are, the better exposure and potential students you will have.

I need someone to make a video of NFork's next simul, Friday, August 2, at 17:00 GMT. THe more of you there, the merrier! I have another professional chess responsiility.

Ok, here's the direct, then embedded link to NFork's simul:
