Play Ne4.
How to proceed in this 2-Knights endgame ?
Hardly forced, but this likely transposes to a queen ending which seems to be an easy win for Black:
Thank you all for your suggestions.
Yes the position doesn't look be too difficult. Black is better and with normal play he will surely win.
I had to seal the move ( 1. .. Ne4) and a week later we were to resume the game. During my analyses at home (no Engines then) I started to examining the position and to come up with a plan . The best I came up with was not to give my opponent any chance for tactics. That's why I discarded any play that could lead to us queening both. Besides that , I should always be on the lookout for any Knight sacs.
I fought so hard to get this far , but I was still to insecure to look at it from the bright side. That's why I tried to be conservative for once.
Both Scott and Pfren suggest (or mention) to follow up with 2. .. Nd2 and then -f3-xh4 winning the h-pawn against Black's d-pawn.In some of their lines both sides will be queening (Black first) in positions with a winning initiative for Black. The 2. .. Nd2 move seems to easily do the job and is definedly a lot faster than what I played.
Well , a week later play resumed :
It is Black to move. Give me a plan , a line . Not just 1 move .
