Silman's endgame book starts with some simple endgame mates - but progresses up to a high level. I would guess it is very useful up to at least 2200 FIDE. Another useful endgame book is "100 Endgames you Must Know" by De La Silva. Both are very useful. De La Silva is a crash course in endings, while Silman is more comprehensive. Both useful up to 2200 FIDE.

i'm 1800, there is no difference between an 1800 and 1900 here, they all the same, but if you think silman will help you then go ahead and buy it, i'm talking from experience cos i have it
U have played 2 games, how am I supposed to know your true level?
Of course it's useful. First, are you sure you know everything that's covered in the section for 1600-1800 players (Class B). One you're sure of that, there are more chapters designed for ore advance players. If you master all that, you will almost always be stronger in the endgame than the players you are up against
Cos I will buy it if it is but Im not sure cos I heard some where that its quite basic, please lemme know
