Is there a 'theory' / method to calculating positions like this. The game ended in a draw, despite me playing a losing move here (my opponent didn't find a winning continuation, which is not trivial). The computer says there's only one non-losing move.

My question is: is such position trivial to calculate, given some proper method/system (if so, what IS this method?). Or is it just a tough calculation grind, evaluating every possible continuation?

Thank you

I don’t see any position. Please make sure it’s an inserted board, not a screenshot. The mobile app can’t see screenshots.

Move 36 (I played the losing h4)

After move 25, this position seems terribly drawish, There's equal material and no pawn majorities that would allow either side to create a passed pawn, I think you and your opponent both played the rest of the game quite well, although there wasn't much to do.

I don't understand why you called 36.h4 "losing." I can't see anything wrong with it. And your suggested 36...Kd7 seems to just lose to 37.Kc5!

37.gxh5 would have been winning for white..
