Rook vs Bishop

I finished a game of rook and king vs bishop and king only, is there any general way to force mate if you are a rook and king?

Easily winnable.  As long as your rook and king stay on the opposite color as the bishop, it is useless.  You are supposed to play rook bishop endgames just like the bishop wasn't there.

Except you need to use both colour squares to drive the king back.  You need to get the kings in opposition in a rook and king ending.  You cant do this if there's a bishop controlling important squares.

It's a book draw in most positions i think.

[edit] The position shown is definitely a draw.  I checked it in a tablebase just to make sure.

There is no forced win here. KR v KB is a draw except in very special situations of course.

it is a theoretical draw unless the bishop is really badly placed. the drawing tecnique involves putting the defending king in a corner opposite to the color of your bishop.
knowing this , you may try to trick your opponent by forcing them on the wrong color corner.
