posting your kinight at the rim is not always dim in this case yes but sometimes its your best move like when you desperately need to develop and its the only place for your knight and or another example is na3 and next move n c2 gms do it all the time

You make a good point, but as a novice player I'm looking to improve in the effectiveness of my moves. I think you would agree a knight on the edge of the board limits its capability, also in this game I'm showing I moved a pawn to h6 ending the fourth move. I was putting a lot of thought into moving one of my major pieces so as not to just push a pawn but after deeply considering what move to make I choose to move pawn to h6.
