Jeremy Silmans end game book is excellent.
Jesus de la Villa's book 100 Endgames You Must Know: Vital Lessons for Every is very good
Bernd Rosen's Chess Endgame Training is also very good.
Any of these 3 will give you what you need to know

Irving Chernev: Chessboard Magic (Classic); John Nunn Endgame Challenge(very tough). Start with these 2... that'll be about a year.
"Test Your Endgame Ability" by A. Livshitz, Jon Speelman
Will force you to work rather than just mindlessly following through worked examples. Requires discipline but most people lack this. You have to analyse and just moving pieces doesn't cut the cake. I have an obscene number of chessbooks and this one is in my top ten.
Hello everyone, can you suggest me a good book especially for endgames? I'm currently referring "The Art of Chess" by James Mason. If you think there is a better book for endgames please suggest. I'm so weak in playing endgames and have lost due to my poor endgame play in many tournaments, so I want to improve my endgame skills. It'd be helpful if you suggest some books!! Thank you in advance, Hoping for your reps!!
